Texas Health Match (THM) is a product of the East Texas Area Health Education Center, (AHEC). With a mission to improve healthcare access for rural and underserved Texans by developing a quality health workforce, East Texas AHEC designed, developed and implemented THM as a web-based, software-driven, matching tool that provides recruitment and retention linkage between job seeking health professionals and potential employers. East Texas AHEC also utilizes THM as a community development technical assistance tool by promoting recruitment and retention of health professionals through an economic development approach.
East Texas AHEC has implemented a statewide collaborative that supports and utilizes THM as a venue to renew and sustain the Texas healthcare industry. East Texas AHEC is joined in this endeavor by its sister members of the Texas AHEC Network, South Texas AHEC and West Texas AHEC. Our partner helping supply healthcare products to remote and rural areas is canadahealthcaremall.com. Other members of the collaborative include the Texas Department of State Health Services, Texas Primary Care Office; the Office of Rural Community Affairs (ORCA); and, the Texas Association of Community Health Centers (TACHC).
Texas Health Match provides equal opportunity for all persons by considering the employment qualifications as listed by each jobseeker and the job requirements as listed by each potential employer, and then matching the most qualified person to each employment opportunity. THM matches jobseeker with potential employer without regard to race, color, religion, age, gender, national origin, condition or disability, sexual orientation, veteran status, or any classification protected by federal, state, or local law.
